Summer fun

so we are already into July and wow has it ever been hot here! Matt just had his wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday and it doing pretty good I think so far. Has some swelling and the fun part of not being able to open his mouth all the way, I remember having it done! Looking forward to this 4th of July weekend! I am off on Sunday so we will head to our little church for worship and a sermon and then off we will be to our annual 4th of July pool party in our neighborhood!!! Its always a fun time and I usually don't get to go because of work but I will enjoy it this year since I am off, after that maybe a cookout here and fireworks with the kids and their friends no doubt! Hope everyone has a super 4th and a safe one too!

Summertime!

Well we have had a busy start to summer! Oh its so nice to sleep in :) We headed to the free movies last week and enjoyed the new movie theater in Simpsonville, we pretty much just walked in it was great!
Matt got a job at one of our favorite places to eat so that is exciting, I know he will and did enjoy his first paycheck, lots out there to save for! Lukas and Miah have had lots of fun playing with friends and we enjoy going to the pool, Miss Lilah loves jumping in the water and has no fear so we better watch out ;)
We hosted a youth group pool party this past weekend which was fun! I hope to try and post more of what is going on :D

Busy weekend!

I am sure most everyone has been enjoying the beautiful weather out, much better then the 90 degree weather we had a week and a half ago.My kids like going out to play on these nice days, Lilah will try to sneak in the neighbor's backyard when she can to jump on their trampoline ;) Yard work was done this weekend and Matt and his band got to practice their new material here Saturday, I will post some pics from the photo shoot I did of them downtown, love going down there its got to be the best downtown ever! We had a nice day yesterday, church, a nap and then took the kids to Stevie B's. We stopped and rented the Blind Side on the way home and wow was that a great movie. I love watching great movies based on true stories, kudos for people out there who see a need and do something to help!

Spring is here or is it?

its been a great spring so far, love the nice weather, makes me want to go out and do something with my yard...not hahaha I don't have a green thumb at all so I will have to look for help in that area! I took Lilah to a fun Easter egg hunt yesterday, my friend Christy and her daughter Emily met us there for the fun, the girls had a good time, so fun to watch them ahhh to be 2 again :) enjoy the pics!

well once again I have fallen behind!

I can't believe its getting to the end of February! Where has Jan and this month gone? We ahve fun celebrating Matt's 16th birthday last month. We had a fun February got our first snow 2 weekends ago and this past weekend we got to take the kids to the circus they really had fun.Mark and I celebrated 18 years of marriage on Valentines day,and Mark's birthday how cool is that? Well I hope to keep up better here sorry its been way to long! :)

Christmas is on the way!

we had a fun past weekend, I took the girls to go see Santa here in our subdivision, they had fun but boy was it cold out. Lilah wasn't to sure about this Santa thing until sissy sat on his lap so she decided it must be ok lol. The look on her face was priceless the whole time, got some cute pics of them enjoy!

Fall fun!

aww I have to say that since moving from Florida to SC that fall is by far my favorite season, I love the changing colors and its so fun to play in the leaves! well ok I guess as long as you don't have to rake them ;) I took the girls to a big tree in the neighborhood today and snapped some fun pics of them playing! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Congratulations to my friends the Dempseys!

we are so overjoyed that they were able to adopt their foster son Elijah today. Lilah and I had a wonderful time waiting for their turn as they proceeded finalizing the adoption, Elijah is such a sweet toddler and picked such a great family for him to call his own! What a great Christmas present to have a mom and dad. My heart aches for all of the children that won't have a forever family this holiday season and hope Lord willing one day we may be able to bring another child into our home through adoption!

Thanks to one of the moms and a friend who printed the coupons, we headed out to Target today and got some good deals! The first offer is for the movie UP it shows the price as $32.99 rang up $19.99 and if you go here http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/animatedfilms/up/couponoffer/ you can print a $10.00 off coupon and I paid $.9.99 for it, not bad for a set of DVD's one of which is Blue ray, also got a connect four game today for one of the kids it was $14.99 got a Target $5 off coupon and a $5 Hasbro coupon making it $4.99 not bad to start of my shopping huh?

Yummy recipe Taco soup

I tried this recipe this week and really liked it, I got it from one of the moms in a group I am in, it was a nice change from chili and we added cheese and sour cream on top with scoups yummy!
Taco Soup

1lb ground chuck
1 lg. onoin
1 can black beans, undrained
1 can kidney beans, undrained
1 can pinto beans, undrained
1 can whole kernel corn, undrained
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 can rotel tomatoes, undrained
1 (1 1/4 oz) envelope taco seasoning mix
1 (1 oz) envelope ranch salad dressing mix
1 1/2 cup water

Cook beef and onion until meat is browned, drain.
Add everything else to beef & onion mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Spoon into soup bowls ans top with desired toppings.

Toppings: corn chips, shredded lettucae, chopped tomato, sour cream, shredded cheese, jalapenos

Busy weekend!

we had fun at the tou swap today! Got rid of some toys we aren't using anymore and found a couple of cute books and a toy for Lilah :) Lukas got accepted into the Michelin Yes program here in Greenville at the new Children's museum so he was there along with other classmates from his school today learning about different cultures. He will be required to do 2 days a month for the rest of the year volunteering there and helping out I think it will be a fun experience for him!
I can't wait for us to check this place out I heard its really fun!

ahhhhh

the rain outside and windy day makes it a great day to stay home! Its fun to watch Lilah get excited about watching her favorite shows, Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse clubhouse and Imagination movers. I am so thankful that I get to stay home with her during the day and do fun things with her and the groups we are in. She and I have made some great friends!! Hope everyone else enjoys the day!

wow its November!

I can't believe we are down to the last 2 months of the year, I don't know why it seems to drag then all of a sudden we looking at Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner! We are looking forward to going to a Tarheels soccer game this Friday! We are going to cheer on my best friends son Alex! The kids are excited to go and dress up in our UNC gear! Hope everyone has a fun week!

Happy Fall!

I know I am so behind on my blog its embarrassing lol, oh well hopefully I will do better, school is off to a good start so far, we could still use prayer for our family but God is good and I will continue to praise and trust in Him through the storms in our lives. My latest passion would have to be photography, I love it! I had a great time taking pics at the park recently of my good friend Lisette's little boy Joseph! I got some good and very quick shots of Miah a few weeks ago and can't wait to go out and take more soon, Falls park is the best place to take pics so if you want some done let me know I need the practice and love it too!

wooo summer is just around the corner!

I know the kids are excited, me too I like being able to sleep in well at least try, hoping to have some fun stuff planned as well, we are taking off the end of July to go to FL, I know talk about the worst time of year to go down there but oh well. I went to my first photography class this past weekend downtown it was fun here are some of the shots I got, I am hoping to take the kids down there soon and get some pics of them!

wow Disco Diva is so behind on her groove again, oh well what can I say lol! Its been a busy past week we all got hit by the nasty stomach virus last week that was so not fun, I am thankful that baby Lilah was the only one who did not get sick!
I have been working working, I got the day off Sunday like usual and got to go see Miss Rebekah Faith get dedicated at church on Mother's day sooo sweet! It was a joy to see all of the family and friends join the Budd family as they dedicated their sweet baby to the Lord! Back home though we kept busy with kids going here and there, never a dull moment, we grilled out for dinner that night, went to see mom and then came home and made some smores yummy, ok they could have been better we cooked them over the heat on the grill and the kids were disappointed that there were no flames on the marshmallows oh well!
Today was our last MOPS meeting until September, we had some awesome ladies speak today, its so wonderful to listen to how God is using others in their lives, It reminds me too that I need to be in prayer more often then I do and to always seek God in everything in my life as well so pray that I am able to stay on that task!!!

well I am still around

well its been a long few weeks here for us, we found out our oldest son was suffering from severe depression and we had to bring him to the hospital and then go for treatment. Its hard to leave your child and not have them at home while they are working on getting better and regulating medicine,I know in the long run God has and will get us through this and it will make us a better family in the end. I look forward to seeing what amazing things God has in store for Matt,Lukas,Miah and Lilah, He is faithful and good and I am so proud to serve an awesome God!!!

oh DD is behind again

How do I let this happen lol, so much going on like usual, we were so happy to get our first snowfall this past Sunday!! I just love watching it fall from the sky and once again I learned its not as easy as it looks trying to catch snowflakes on your tongue, I need to wear some protective eye gear when trying to do that, snow in the eyes is not fun ;) It only took a few hours and the ground was covered! We got between 3-4 inches here and the kids of course had no school Monday and Tuesday, so needless to say I haven't been able to get any extra cleaning or organizing done :D enjoy the pics we can't believe it will be up to 70 the end of the week!
